MOULTRIE – The fourth class of the Colquitt County Leadership Development Program (CCLDP) participants graduated Monday evening. The program is designed for school district employees who aspire to fill leadership roles in the future and expand their current leadership skills. The year-long program began in January 2025 and ended with a recognition reception before the monthly board meeting.
When asked about the program’s impact, Tiffany Richey said, “The Colquitt County School District Leadership Development Program is a great opportunity for leaders to see every aspect of how the district teaches, supports, and engages our students and families. All of these skills support how we lead together as one team, moving forward with purpose for every student that we serve.”
Throughout the year, participants heard from department leads and subject experts on topics including school schedules, special programs, finance, communications, student services, human resources, and educational law. They also completed a human assessment tool that measured their natural abilities and how those natural skill sets play into their leadership abilities. Thus, this assessment was led by Dr. Dori Stiles, owner and consultant with Turning Points Coaching and Consulting.
“Today we celebrate more than the completion of a program; we celebrate the growth of leaders who will strengthen our district for years to come,” said Superintendent Dan Chappuis. “The employees graduating from the Colquitt County Leadership Development Program have demonstrated exceptional commitment to our students, our schools, and to the continuous improvement of our district. Their dedication to leading with purpose and integrity ensures that we are building the leadership capacity needed to sustain and accelerate the exceptional growth our district is experiencing.”
Participants also had to complete a shadowing experience of someone in a leadership role they were interested in aspiring to or wanted to learn more about. They presented their shadowing experience during the final two sessions of the year. The next group will begin, straightaway, in January 2026.
