“We are proud to support this program that will enhance the development and growth of Saskatchewan’s future leaders,” said Russel and Bonnie Marcoux. “The vision for the Marcoux Leadership Program stems from our belief that leadership principles should be made available to all students and that the skills and knowledge gained from this exposure will better equip and influence their abilities in their future endeavours.”
The program will consist of a one‑week intensive course introducing students to leadership practices and frameworks while engaging them in team‑based projects and real‑world challenges. Students will explore leadership styles, strengthen communication and decision‑making abilities, and build the self‑reflection skills required to grow as leaders. The first offering of the program will run May 4-8, 2026.
For third-year Edwards School of Business marketing student Shreevalli Khaneja, the program represents an opportunity for students to build confidence and develop leadership skills early in their educational journey.
“Leadership is a powerful skill to learn early. With access to classes and tools through the Marcoux Leadership Program, more students will have the confidence to step up and take charge. The growth mindset will be integrated into these professionals as they step out to make a change,” said Khaneja. “On behalf of the Edwards student body, thank you to the Marcoux family for investing in leadership development, both for today’s students and tomorrow’s leaders.”
“I want to express my sincere appreciation to the Marcoux family for their generosity and vision,” said Dr. Keith Willoughby (PhD), dean of the Edwards School of Business. “Their support makes it possible for USask students to participate in an immersive learning experience that strengthens their confidence, sharpens their leadership skills and prepares them to become the leaders the world needs. The Marcoux Leadership Program reflects our shared commitment to strengthening essential leadership abilities, gaining hands-on experience, and cultivating the mindset of a business leader.”
Applications for the Marcoux Leadership Program are now open, with a deadline of February 13, 2026. For more information or to apply, visit:
