Dementia Care Trainings

CARES Online Dementia Trainings

CARES® trains staff in the evidence-based CARES dementia five-step method, a person-centered approach to dementia care, so that they know how to identify individual triggers, mitigate causes of behaviors, and intervene with non-pharmacological approaches that support each resident’s quality of life. CARES has been proven to reduce the use of antipsychotics.

Alzheimer’s Disease & Dementia Care Seminar/Certified Dementia Practitioner Training

The Alzheimer’s Disease and Dementia Care seminar which is the REQUIRED course for those who are qualified to apply for the Designation of Certified Dementia Practitioner (CDP) through the National Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (NCCDP) and the International Council of Certified Dementia Practitioners (ICCDP). Institute for Excellence in Memory Care

The Institute for Excellence in Memory Care offers CE-approved webinars, as well as, in-person dementia care certification courses. The Institute also offers a Certified Memory Care Professional (CMCP) course throughout the year.

essentiALZ training and certification, developed with evidence from the Dementia Care Practice Recommendations, educates professional care providers on current evidence-based, person-centered practices to care for individuals living with dementia.

The Eden Alternative

The Eden Alternative is a resource program that offers online learning, in-person learning and consultation. Two courses geared towards health care professionals include Living Well with Dementia and Dementia Beyond Drugs.
